Chapter 13
To prove her original voice acting was good, she posted a video of her original voice acting from her filming process on a separate account, and even bought the promotion for the trend “Sydney’s acting skills.”
She thought it would impress people, but instead, she was ridiculed.
The audience and critics criticized her lines and acting, praising Celestial Haze even more.
She was going super mad!
She overheard Nicolas and Xabier discussing the voice acting for Legend, knowing they wanted Celestial Haze to do it.
Although she wasn’t interested in voicing a game, as long as it could give Celestial Haze a hard time, she would spare no effort to snatch it.
Feeling secretly happy, she hesitated to ask, “Did Mr. Francis agree? He doesn’t seem to like me. If Mr. Francis doesn’t want to, don’t force it. Don’t let me cause trouble between you guys.”
Liam glanced at her, his eyes full of meaning. As if he was trying to see through her, which made Sydney uneasy.
Liam just reminded her, “Your agent is here.”
Sydney came to her senses and saw her agent waving at her through the car window.
She frowned, wanting to act cute and ask Liam to take her back, but Liam’s assistant Owen had already opened the car door and gestured for her to get out.
With no other choice, she got out of the car, said goodbye to Liam, and glared at Owen.
“Sir, where are we heading?” Owen asked.
Liam rubbed his eyes, tiredly saying. “Let’s go home.”
He hadn’t been sleeping well lately, specifically since Celeste left home.
Every time he thought of that woman, he felt annoyed.
He took a sip from his water bottle and frowned, “Plain water?”
Owen explained, “The tea bags ma’am gave us ran out, and we haven’t restocked yet. I’ll call her later.”
Liam stopped and coldly said, “No need.”
Going to find that woman would only lead to more arguments!
He took another sip, but for some reason, it was hard to swallow. Was plain water always this hard to drink?
Upon arriving at Pinecrest Manor, Liam got out of the car, and Owen took a beautifully wrapped gift box from the car and handed it to Liam.
“Mr. Reed, the bag you ordered two months ago has arrived. Ma’am will definitely like it.” Owen said.
Liam’s eyebrows relaxed slightly, but he still coldly said, “It’s what she wanted. How could she not like it?”
Owen raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything.
He hadn’t heard Ms. Campbell mention that she wanted this bag. Only one time in the car, she flipped through a magazine and said the bag looked nice. That night, Mr. Reed asked Owen to order it.
It wasn’t available domestically, so they had to get it through connections abroad, and it took two months to arrive.
“Put it in the car,” Liam buttoned his coat, “And pick me up at nine tomorrow morning.”
The next morning, just after nine, Celeste got a call from Liam as soon as she was ready. He said, “Come downstairs.”
Celeste was confused, and Liam “thoughtfully” added, “I’m waiting for you downstairs.”
Celeste frowned, “You know where I live?”
Liam didn’t bother with her nonsense and hung up.
