Alpha’s Virgin Wife Chapter 169

Alpha’s Virgin Wife by Baby Charlene

Chapter 169 Kylie And The Seer

Seated on the edge of the bed was Shilah, her temperature being checked by Mato, while the midwife stood on standby, awaiting her turn.

King Dakota was there as well, leaning against his study table and watching them closely. Not really them, but Shilah in particular – especially her face which held some funny expressions.

“How is she, Mato?” King Dakota asked when he noticed the Physician withdrew from her, interpreting he was done.

“My King” Mato turned to him and lowered his head.

“Indeed, she really ran a temperature, but it’s just one of those normal things that comes to women in her condition”.

That cheerful tone was nowhere to be found in the voice of the Physician as of course, he was still mourning his son. Shilah was actually surprised he had resumed duties already as she had expected him to go away for a long time.

Well, Mato was a strong man – she heard. Even if he was dying inwardly.

“Okay” King Dakota nodded agreeably, recalling such had happened with Chaska as well. And even…

He restricted himself from mentioning that name.

“So, what can you do to help? She’s been throwing up for sometime now and I wouldn’t want that to happen”

“I’ll just make some herbs and bring them once I’m done, My King. I beg to take my leave” and with a bow, the Physician left the room.

Shilah stared pathetically at him as he walked away, wondering the kind of pain he must be passing through at the moment. For Goodness sake; she couldn’t even fathom it. Loosing your only child unexpectedly??

But who k*il*led have Mato? Who did he offend?? Such person would never go unpunished!

“Uhm… Queen Shilah” the voice of the Mid-wife broke into Shilah’s thoughts.

“What would you like to have for breakfast, dear?”

Shilah looked at the King, with those of eyes of ‘I told you before’, and decided to repeat it to the midwife. Maybe she could help.

“I…I feel like eating some potatoes and fried eagle eggs” She muttered, her eyes staring down on her nails which she were already fiddling with.

Ahiga at first, thought she hadn’t heard the young lady correctly, but thinking long on it, she realized she did. Her brows furrowed in confusion as she turned to peer at the King who just watched silently.

“Uh… Do you mean fried eggs?” She asked carefully.

“No; no; don’t you know an eagle? Like the eagle that…”

“Of course, Queen, I know” Ahiga chuckled. “It’s just that…. getting such precious eggs might be really difficult at a time like this because….”

“But, that’s what I feel like eating!” Shilah cut her off tearfully.

“Why should it be so difficult getting something like that?? Just why??” She looked at the King and when he didn’t say anything, bursted into hysterical tears.

“No one cares about me, anymore. Not even the King” She whimpered. And with a sigh, King Dakota walked towards and helped his hand on her shoulder.

“Could you just stop this, Shilah? You know I don’t like it when you cry” He cooed.

“Uh… Queen Shilah” The Midwife pitched in. “Have your tasted this… wonderful eagle eggs before?”

“No. I….” she paused and sniffed. “I just think they’d taste really great”

“Oh. I see” Ahiga smiled. “Then, you have nothing to worry about, dear, for you’ll coffins have a taste of this eagle eggs today.”

Shilah’s eyes beamed immediately.

“I…I will? You’ll find them for me?” She asked hopefully, wiping her tears. Even King Dakota was a bit confused and gave the midwife a cranky stare.

“Of course, dear Queen. I have a friend who deals in all kinds of eggs. Just leave that to me. But first, I must get you something else to eat before I go get the wonderful eggs. Do we have an agreement?” She asked cheerfully, but Shilah hesitated.

“I really don’t feel like eating anything else” she pouted.

“But for your sake, I will”

“Perfect, then! We have an agreement” Ahiga giggled and faced the King.

“I beg to take my leave now, My King”

And when the King bobbed his head, she hurried out of the room.

THE GREAT OAKS VILLAGE ✍️

**************************

Sukie was feeling so hungry already.

Well, being the Queen’s idea to have breakfast outside, she couldn’t complain and had to wait.

They left a while later, with Remata and the other sister accompanying them. Remata!! She really hated that lady, didn’t she? Hopefully, she steers clear her path.

Riding to Kylie’s ‘dream’ restaurant didn’t take too long – thankfully for Sukie. And when they arrived, Sukie was awed by its beauty. Wow. No wonder the Queen really wanted them to have breakfast there. It was just so convenient…. for a breakfast especially.

Stepping down from their horses, Kylie smiled and rushed to the flowers gathered at the sides of the entrance.

“Just take a look at these beauties, Sukie” She giggled.

“Don’t they look just so adorable?” Sukie joined her in touching the flowers.

“They are, Supreme Sister” she agreed.

“Right?? I seriously wonder why they can’t be found in our territory. I would have so much loved these species, Sukie”

She had enough time to admire the dazzling flowers and afterwards, they walked into the restaurant.

As expected, they drew the attention of everyone the moment they stepped in. Appearing in their unique red garments and looking so beautiful, one could easily guess they were witches.

Kylie didn’t mind them anyways as she admired the interiors of the restaurant.

“Whoever designed this place deserves some accolades, Sukie” She stated remarkably and chuckled before running her eyes round to find a perfect place to sit.

“There! It’s closer to the window” She pointed out and marched towards it afterwards, still ignoring the eyes of the people watching them. They were just few people in it anyways, including the workers at the counter all dressed in the same outfit.

While Kylie and Sukie made use of one table, she ordered Remata and the other sister to make use of another. She didn’t want them just standing and watching.

“I guess even a Queen like me deserves such holidays once in a while, Sukie” Kylie chuckled.

“What do you think?”

“That is absolutely right, supreme sister” Sukie answered delightfully.

“I for one, I am really happy you’re having so much fun. And if you ask me, I’d recommend you do this regularly”

“Hmm” Kylie looked at her and smiled.

And shortly, a natty looking man showed up. He was obviously a worker since he was putting on their boring uniform. It was boring to Kylie.

“Greetings, beautiful sister in red.” He bowed.

“It’s an honor having such gems here in our restaurant today. Please, how may we serve you?” Kylie huffed.

“I and my sisters have been here for over a minute and you’re just coming to take our orders?”

“I deeply apologize for that, beautiful one. It wasn’t intentional. Please, forgive the delay” The attendant apologized quickly and Kylie let out an eye roll.

But in the process, her eyes ran into one of the workers at the counter – a particular lady who had just kept staring at her.

“Anyways,” She looked back at the man.

“I wish to try something new. So, get me the best you have for breakfast. And get same for all three of my sisters as well. Hurry up”

“Ah! I have just the right thing you’ll need, beautiful one. Just give me a few minutes” he exclaimed happily and scurried off. Kylie smiled as he left and returned her gaze to Sukie.

“So, do you like this place, Sukie?” She asked.

“Of course! Anyone would love it, Supreme Sister. I’m actually surprised you had gotten to know of such beautiful place” Sukie’s reply beamed her up.

If there was one thing Kylie liked, would be praises and approval.

“It was actually the hotel keeper” She revealed.

“I’d wanted to place order for breakfast when he told me to try something new. And ta-da! We’re here!” She laughed.

“I can’t believe I’d be back to the Palace by tomorrow and miss all these. What am I even saying?” She paused and laughed again.

“The Palace is and will always be my home. No beauty can beat that”.

“Definitely” Sukie agreed with a smile.

Kylie didn’t hesitate to bring up more topics for discussions until finally, their meals were brought in trays by the man and three other ladies. Oh! The three other ladies included the one that had been staring crankily at kylie. She had boring eyes too.

“I am a hundred percent sure you’d love this delicacy, beautiful one. If you end up not loving it, just let me know and I’d give myself up for spanking” the man joked – a joke Kylie didn’t find funny anyways.

Although, she smiled.

Carefully, they all set the trays down on the tables- two on Kylie and Sukie’s table and the other two on Remata’s table.

Kylie was already growing suspicious of the other lady who had her eyes fixed on her even when she was serving the meal.

Well, she was sure to give back the same odd look she had been giving out.

“Enjoy your time, beautiful ladies!” The male attendant declared with his arms spread apart.

Then, with a bow, began walking away with his co-workers, except for the other lady who wouldn’t go along with them but had stood still, staring at Kylie.

Kylie scoffed and looked at Sukie, giving her that look of ‘is something wrong with her?’

“Hey; is there a problem? Why are you just standing and staring at her that way?” Sukie asked bluntly, drawing the attention of the co-workers who had stopped to see what was going on.

“Zoe??” The male attendant rushed back.

“What’s the problem? What’s happening??” He demanded, fearfully.

And with fiery eyes, she pointed out her index finger.

“A big threat is coming, Supreme Sister” in an icy tone, she said – her words creating some vibrations down the chest of Kylie.

“The one who is more powerful than you, is so close to standing in front of you”

At once, Kylie knew she was a seer.

“What nonsense are you talking about?” She rasped, spranging on her feet.

“Zoe! Come on; not now. Please” The male attendant whispered to her ears, but it made no difference.

The attention of every single person in the restaurant had been turned on them.

“It is the truth, Sister Kylie” Zoe stated strictly.

“Just very soon, your throne will be challenged”

“You’re speaking nonsense!” Kylie roared.

“There is no one greater than me. And there is no witch alive, that I do not know of. So, stop speaking hypocritically if you do not want me to burn you to the ground!”

“You may do what you want with me; but you cannot do as you wish with destiny” the lady swanked.

“She is alive, but you surely do not know of her existence. She will come with the anger of her past – strong, powerful and fearless. With her dwells the power to control the rain, and the sun. And dine with the seven Spirits of the seven seas.

“She is the daughter of the Fallen witch; and she is as close as the next air you breath”.

Kylie’s heart summersaulted heavily in her chest – creating some stabbing pains.

She fumed as her chest panted heavily.

“You are nothing, but A LIAR!!!” She picked up the food from the table and splashed it over the lady’s face.

Sukie had gotten to her feet as well.

“I WILL k*il*l YOU the next time I set my eyes on you! Fools!!” She roared and kicked the table aggressively, crashing every single thing on it.

And afterwards, she stormed out of the restaurant, immediately followed by her sisters.
