She hadn’t expected the puppy to have grown so much.
The pup was chubby and well–fed with good food.
It was well taken care of.
Celeste was delighted.
“The park manager takes care of it. There are often business events at Ruby Lake, so its food isn’t bad, look how chubby it is, like a ball.” Liam pinched its neck.
Celeste glared at him, “Is your ball at home this cute?”
Liam chuckled, “I didn’t lie to you”
Celeste paused for a moment.
Then she realized Liam was talking about when they couldn’t find the puppy
She argued with Liam back home when they couldn’t find the puppy. Of course, she yelled at him, calling him a liar and cold–blooded Liam just said he had given it up for adoption, whether she believed it or not.
Celeste asked, “Why didn’t you show it to me then?”

The puppy was not weaned and was difficult to raise, plus, it was sick when they found it. It looked like it wasn’t going to make it
Liam didn’t have much hope either, so he paid some money to let the park manager take it to the vet.
To their surprise, the puppy was tough, and after a few months of treatment, it miraculously recovered.
When Liam came to see it, the park manager thought he wanted to take it home and was reluctant to let it go.
Liam wanted to take it home but was allergic to animal fur. Otherwise, with Celeste’s love for fluffy toys, their house would be full of cats and dogs by now.
He didn’t take it home but occasionally came to see it and feed it. The puppy seemed smart and remembered who had rescued it, constantly rolling over when it saw Liam.
Liam said, “We can’t keep a dog at home, but I can bring you here to see it more often.”
Celeste ran her fingers through a tuft of the puppy’s black fur and glanced at him, “Your house can’t keep one, but my house can.”
Liam frowned, “In your place, which is smaller than a bathroom, it’s already crowded with two people, and you still want to keep a dog?”
Celeste glared at him, “I want to move to a larger house, who’s the one that made me ineligible to buy a house?”
Liam was taken aback, “I can help you with that”
Liam sighed. “You just have to make do with your current place for now I will help you as soon as I can, but it may require you to pay.”

Liam knew Celeste’s temper, she would never spend an extra penny on this kind of blatant robbery, even if she were affluent.
She was frugal, stuffing her closet with discounted shirts so she could wear a different one every day for a year.
Celeste gritted her teeth and said, “Liam, don’t forget I still have your money here. If you make me angry, I’ll donate all of it!”
Liam laughed and said, “You can go ahead and donate it I can earn that money back in no time.”
Celeste kept silent.
Nicolas called at that moment. The banquet was about to start, and they should hurry over.
