My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 564

Chapter 564
The dough in Celeste’s card was given by Liam; how could she be short of money?
Shawn was deliberately slinging mud at her!
First, he revealed that she was not his biological daughter, making himself out to be a man cuckolded by his wife.
Then he complained about how hard it was to raise Celeste and then turned around to say that Celeste was suing him for money and that he had no choice but to reveal her real parentage.
With these words, he had directly put Celeste in the hot seat.
Celeste’s face turned pale; she gritted her teeth and said, “Shawn, you’re lower than a pig and a dog! How could my mom have ever wasted money on you? Now that you’re successful, you’re slinging mud at my mom. Are you even human?!”
“Plaintiff, watch your language!”
Mason hurriedly interjected, “Your Honor, my client is not feeling well; we request a postponement of the trial.”
“Mr. Fletcher is no rookie, right?” Either we finish today or you drop the charges.”
Mason’s eyes darkened.
The current situation was very unfavorable for them; Celeste was disoriented, and continuing the trial would not yield a satisfactory result.
More importantly, the focus of the spectators had already shifted to Celeste’s illegitimate daughter’s identity; the longer the fuss, the wider the news would spread, which would be even more detrimental to her.
Mason pursed his lips, whispering to Celeste, “Let’s drop the charges.”
Celeste was taken aback. “Mr. Fletcher, do you also think I’m an illegitimate daughter?”
She seemed to be seeking confirmation, refusing to believe Shawn’s test results.
Mason understood she didn’t care about being Shawn’s daughter, but that she couldn’t believe her mother would betray her marriage.
He softened his voice a bit and said, “No matter who you are, to me, you’ll always be Celeste. Dropping the charges is not admitting defeat; we need to find new evidence to ensure a foolproof case.”
Celeste clenched her fingers and, after a long while, finally whispered, “Let’s drop the charges.”
For the first time in over twenty years, Helen felt triumphant.
Let’s see who dared accuse her children of being illegitimate in the future.
Suddenly, she felt a gaze piercing straight at her. Helen frowned, turning her head to look.
Not far from her, in the same row of spectator seats, sat a handsome young man.
He smiled at her.
Helen was somewhat puzzled.
His gaze made her quite uncomfortable.
The plaintiff dropped the charges, bringing the lawsuit to an end, but it caused quite a stir.
As soon as Celeste stepped out of the courthouse, she was surrounded by a crowd blocking her way.
“Ms. Campbell, what do you think of the paternity test results provided by Mr. Shawn?”
“Ms. Campbell, did you really leave with nothing after your divorce from Mr. Reed?”
“Ms. Campbell, who is your biological father, did you know all along that you weren’t Mr. Shawn’s biological daughter, or did you just find out today?”
Celeste’s face turned pale, and she said in a deep voice, “Step aside.”
The crowd didn’t budge. “Ms. Campbell, please answer our questions.
With that, the microphone was thrust up to Celeste’s chin, and Celeste pushed it away, not even touching the person holding it. Yet that person stumbled and fell.
“How could you push people?”
The media was discontented, whispering, “Just an illegitimate daughter, why so arrogant?”
Trisha had been holding back for a long time and finally couldn’t stand it. “Who pushed? The microphone was right in her face; can’t she avoid it?”
1/2
How did I fall if I wasn’t pushed?” The person glared, ready to argue with Trisha.
Trisha rolled up her sleeves, ready to throw down, and suddenly someone stood between her and Celeste.
“Tangerine Entertainment, right?” Steven looked at the badge on the person, raised his head, and said, “Tell your boss, I agree to the exclusive interview with Tangerine Entertainment on one condition: he has to fire you first.”
