Chapter 59 The Tattooed Freya
On the second floor of Mona restaurant, Freya sat at a table.
After receiving the address and time from Isabella, she arrived at the designated location. She also inquired about the hobbies of the man she was going to meet on the blind date.
The man came from Vroria and had not met Isabella in person, and her mission today was to ruin the blind date.
However, she couldn’t be too obvious about it as that would be disrespectful to the other party.
She had to make the man dislike her through subtle details so that Isabella’s parents would have no choice but to call off the match.
Today, Freya had applied makeup to make herself appear older. Her makeup skills were excellent, and there were no visible flaws. She didn’t need bright red or purple eyeshadow to make herself look ugly. All she needed to do was to emphasize the lines on her face to make herself look less attractive.
She had dry and slightly yellowish skin, and there were numerous fine lines and wrinkles around her mouth and forehead. Despite her light eye makeup, her eyes appeared dull and lacked vitality.
With her poor complexion and dry hair, she was confident that no one would be interested in her.
However, her makeup was not the main strategy to ruin the date. She had intended to reveal her harsh and rigid personality through her behavior.
It was an excellent plan. However, despite putting in so much effort, she did not expect Isabella’s blind date partner was not serious about it as he was already half an hour late.
Freya felt delighted in her heart as she sent a message to Isabella. Your blind date partner is half an hour late. I think this can be a good excuse for you to reject him. Do I still need to wait here?’
Isabella quickly replied from the other side. Gosh. What’s wrong with my parents’ matchmaking skills? This man has no respect for others’ time at all. Does he look down on the Parker family? Wait for another half hour, so that I can have a stronger excuse!”
Freya responded with an “OK” emoji as she assumed that the man was not likely to show up.
Having to wait for another half an hour, she began to feel a bit hungry. Hence, she ordered a meal from the waiter next to her and planned to leave after finishing her meal.
When her food was served, a table not far away next to the window was secretly staring at her.
Radley sat in his chair, looking at his friend across from him.
Chris Holland had a smile on his face. “My family told me that I was going to meet the daughter of the Parker family, but how did I end up meeting your ex-wife here?”
With a cold glance, Radley looked at him and then turned his face to look at Freya, who was not far away.
“Has your ex-wife been having a hard time since the divorce? Why does she look so ugly now?” Chris joked.
Radley’s voice was calm. “Is she different from how she normally looks?”
“Are you
blind?” Chris exaggeratedly pointed in Freya’s direction. “She used to be so beautiful. I would have gone after her if she had not been your wife in the past. Look at her now!”
Radley’s gaze was fixed on Freya who was peeling shrimp. Her expression was serious and focused as if she were doing something important.
For a moment, the corners of his mouth lifted, and a hint of amusement flickered in his eyes. “I think she’s prettier than before.”
“Ah, I see. You definitely have a taste for this sort of thing.” Chris said as he stood up and straightened his sleeves. “I can’t delay it any longer. My grandpa takes this blind date seriously. I was originally worried about how to get out of this blind date, but I didn’t expect Miss Parker to play such a trick. In that case, I won’t hold back then.”
With a big appetite, Freya had already finished half of the food on her table when a tall figure appeared in front of her.
Looking up, she saw a handsome man with an elegant posture and a gentlemanly smile.
“Miss Parker, I’m sorry. There was traffic on the way, the man said.
Finally he’s here.
Although she was annoyed, there was nothing much she could say.
Freya picked up the towel beside her and wiped her hands. After that, she got up calmly and extended her hand, saying, “Hello, I’m Isabella Parker.”
She looked calm and relaxed as though she was not a big eater, despite having just finished all her plates.
Chris squinted and glanced at the table and the woman in front of him.
How come Radley’s ex-wife seemed like a completely different person now?
When Radley got married, he specially came to congratulate him from Vroria and also met Freya.
At first sight, he was stunned by her beauty, but later on, he began to feel slightly let down when he noticed her timid demeanor and tendency to avoid eye contact while speaking.
At that moment, he understood why Radley had mentioned that she had become more beautiful than before.
The two sat down, and Freya smiled lightly when she saw Chris gazing at the plates on the table. “Mr. Holland, I thought you were not coming, so I ordered some food and ate a little just now. I hope you don’t mind.”
“No, I don’t mind at all.” After that, he called the waiter over and ordered a glass of juice.
As they faced each other, his gaze fell on her lips.
The lips, which were originally pale, now had a hint of reddish flesh color.
Her lips were plump and had a slight sheen to them.
Chris pursed his lips. After staring at her for so long just now, he only thought that she had become haggard, but he didn’t expect her to have this trick up her sleeve.
As the two chatted for a while, Chris behaved like a true gentleman.
Freya’s impatience grew as she responded to Chris’ questions with foolish answers.
“Miss Parker, since you’re not into these things, what are your hobbies?” he asked.
For the sake of her best friend’s future, Freya was determined to ruin this blind date.
Therefore, she put on a look of hesitation and replied. “I don’t have any hobbies. I just enjoy spending money on shopping, jewelry, and hitting up bars and nightclubs.”
She planned to casually bring up these topics to turn him away, but she was surprised by his resilience. Despite discovering that she was a simpleton, he still inquired about her hobbies.
After her big reveal, she pretended to cover her mouth in surprise and exclaimed, “Oops!”
She is completely into the character.
Chris barely managed to keep from bursting into laughter.
Not far away, Radley sat there as he observed the conversation between the two with his temples. throbbing.
It seems that Chris is surprisingly in a good mood.
Not only that, but Freya also covers her mouth and laughs along with him.
Radley frowned as he found himself increasingly annoyed by the duo sitting over there.
“Miss Parker, what a coincidence that you also like partying!” Chris laughed. “I own a few bars, clubs, and KTVs in Vroria. I’m planning to open a bar in Caltun soon. It would be great to have you join me for some fun in the future.”
Is he out of his mind?
Freya finally unleashed her last trump card. As she fanned herself as if she was feeling a little hot, she took off her coat.
Just then, a large tattoo was exposed.
Both Chris and Radley, who was not far away, were shocked by the sight of tattoos on her body. Not only did she have tattoos on her front and back, but she also had an eye-catching one on her arm.
Freya silently prayed for Isabella in her heart. She felt that the blame for this failed blind date still had to be borne by Isabella herself.
But it’s still better than a successful blind date, right?
With a smile on her face, she called out, “Mr. Holland?”
Chris smirked. “That’s a pretty cool tattoo. It seems that we share the same interests. What a coincidence.”
With that, he also took off his coat and rolled up his shirt sleeves.
A similar tattoo on his arm was also revealed.
Freya was completely speechles
