Aiden referred to her father, whom she knew well – her biological father, who shared her blood.

Aiden was holding Ines‘ wrist, shaking his head in disbelief. He glanced at her fingers and suddenly burst out laughing. “Izzy, why bother with that kind of excuse? You’re not even wearing a wedding ring.”
Ines felt a headache coming on. If only she’d worn the ring, she could’ve avoided all this misunderstanding.
“I told you, I’m married. There’s no need for me to lie to someone I don’t care about. Believe it or not, my husband’s coming to pick me up soon, and I don’t want him getting the wrong idea, so let go.” Ines said.
“No, I don’t believe you. Not unless he shows up in front of me.” Just as Aiden finished speaking, he saw Ines start to laugh. He instantly got excited, but before he could say anything, he felt a pain in his arm and a gloomy voice rang out, “Excuse me, sir, but what do you think you’re doing holding my wife’s hand in front of all these people?“
