Chapter 457
Celeste gave it a quick glance and swiftly signed her name.
Liam held the pen but didn’t move.
Celeste’s phone beeped, and she took it out to see a Facebook post from Trisha.
It was a photo of Sydney at the airport a few days ago.
She was wearing sunglasses and a mask and there were no fans around to greet her. It was probably a private trip. A fan recognized her and secretly took the photo.
That wouldn’t be a big deal since she was a celebrity, and it was normal for fans to recognize her.
But what stood out was a person in the background of the photo.
It was Liam.
He was tall, with striking facial features and an aloof aura that was easily recognizable.
Although there were some passengers between him and Sydney, from the angle of the photo, it seemed to be a boarding gate.
The photo was taken on the day Liam went on a business trip.
Liam and Sydney were on the same flight.
Trisha sent a message saying, “So Liam disappeared for a few days to secretly meet up with that bitch Sydney, huh?”
Celeste didn’t reply and put her phone away.
Seeing Liam hesitating to sign, the staff tentatively asked, “Do you need more time to think about it?”
Just as Liam was about to speak, Celeste said, “No need, we have no emotional foundation. Forcing ourselves to be together won’t help. Mr. Reed, sign it, and you’ll be free to do whatever you want.”
Liam frowned, “Celeste, do you have to be so sarcastic?”
Celeste looked at Liam with mockery, “Mr. Reed, is this the first day you’ve met me? I’ve always been like this. The well–behaved and understanding image I had before was just to win your favor. Now that I want nothing from you, why should I please you?”
Liam’s face changed, and he wrote his name on the paper.
As Celeste stepped out of the civil affairs bureau, Steven called.
“Ms. Campbell, are you done?”
Celeste hummed in response, “Just got out, I’ll take a cab over.”
“No need, my assistant is already there to pick you up. You’ll see him when you step out.”
“Alright, thank you.”
When Liam came out, he saw Celeste on the phone.
As he approached, she hung up and looked into the distance.
Liam walked up to her and said, “Celeste, we’ve signed the divorce agreement. You’ll no longer have the designer bags and diamond jewelry you like. Even if you regret it, it’s useless. People have to pay for their choices.” He paused and continued, “Considering our years of marriage, I can forgive your attitude. I’ll give you another chance. Apologize to me, and we can remarry tomorrow.”
After waiting for a while, there was no response.
Liam turned to look and Celeste was already gone.
An Aston Martin was parked at the entrance of the civil affairs bureau.
A man got out of the car to open the door for Celeste.
She bent down and got into the car, and it drove off.
Liam looked at the divorce agreement in his hand and was filled with indescribable regret.
Why couldn’t she just talk to him?
If only she had, they wouldn’t have gotten a divorce.
As he drove, Nathan glanced at Celeste sitting beside him.
Having just gone through her mother’s funeral and her divorce with Liam, Celeste was now signing a contract with the company.
She appeared calm throughout the process, and Nathan couldn’t help but admire her inner strength.
“Is there something on my face?” Celeste looked out the window, noticing Nathan’s gaze.
Nathan coughed, “Ms. Campbell, you don’t have to rush. It’s okay to rest for a few days at home.”

Chapter 457
“No need“Celeste said indifferently, “I need money after the divorce.
Nathan knew Liam had treated Celeste well. He had even helped her cover up when she openly provoked Kaylee.
He couldn’t understand why Liam would let Celeste divorce him, especially right after her mother’s death.
Considering his boss’s interest in Celeste, a thought suddenly crossed Nathan’s mind.
Could it be that Mr. Garcia had his eyes on her?
He looked at Celeste again. She was indeed beautiful.
Nathan was tom, thinking it wasn’t right but also considering that helping his boss wouldn’t hurt, especially since he wasn’t young anymore.
After a while, he finally asked, “What do you think of our boss, Ms. Campbell?”
Celeste, while looking down at her phone, casually replied. “He’s pretty good.”
She wasn’t close with Steven and didn’t have an opinion of him, so she just responded politely.
“Then…. have you ever thought about starting a new romantic relationship?”
Celeste looked at him with a puzzled expression.
“Our boss is the same age as Mr. Reed, single, likes to drink, occasionally smokes, and plays cards, but has no bad habits. He’s had two previous relationships but they all ended. He owns dozens of companies, and his assets are no less than Mr. Reed’s. Maybe you can consider him, Ms. Campbell.
Celeste looked at him helplessly.
Knowing that Celeste was coming to sign the contract today, Steven purposely came to the office.
The office had been cleaned and arranged with a pleasant aroma diffuser.
When Celeste was brought in by Nathan, she saw Steven sitting behind his desk in a suit, smiling at her.
She quickly noticed the faint scent of green tea and pine in the air. A refreshing fragrance that she hadn’t smelled around Steven before.
“Ms. Campbell, please have a seat.”
Steven crossed his hands on the table, smiling as he spoke to her.
Celeste pulled out a chair and sat across from him.
Nathan handed over the prepared contract.
*Please take a look, Ms. Campbell. If there’s anything you’re not satisfied with, we can discuss it again.”
