Chapter 112
Celeste didn’t say anything, put on her shoes. She picked up her bag, and walked out the door.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw a Mercedes parked at the door. The old lady’s personal driver, Mr. Robinson, was standing nearby. When he saw her, he politely greeted her, “Good morning, ma’am. The Old Lady asked me to pick you up.”
Celeste quickly replied, “Thank you, Mr. Robinson.”
After she got in the car, Mr. Robinson turned the car around but didn’t start driving immediately.
Just as Celeste was about to ask what he was waiting for, she saw Liam walking towards the car, opening the door, and getting in.
Celeste frowned, “Why don’t you drive yourself? Granny’s place is not on the way to the office.”
“Who said I’m going to the office?” Liam glanced at her and turned to the driver, “Mr. Robinson, let’s go.”
Celeste…
If she had known Liam was going, she would have refused to go!
She moved closer to the window, trying to keep her distance from Liam.
Liam didn’t mind, keeping his head down and typing on his phone, not sure who he was chatting with.
Celeste sneaked a peek, but Liam noticed and lifted his phone higher, keeping the screen just out of her line of sight.
She didn’t care who he was chatting with!
Mason was in his study, looking up information when his phone suddenly rang.
Seeing that it was a video call from his mother, he casually picked up and put the phone on the table, continuing his work while asking. “Mom, what’s up?” “Mason, what do you think of this dress I’m wearing?” Mason’s mother asked.
Mason quickly glanced at the screen and casually replied, “It looks great and suits your temperament.”
His mother was not satisfied, “Are you trying to brush me off? Did you really look at the screen?”
Mason’s mother had a good temper, but when she was truly angry, she was not easy to appease
Mason had no choice but to take another look at the screen, “I did, and it looks really good.”
His mother was wearing a beautiful dress, twirling in front of the camera, and eagerly asked, “Does it look nice?”
She was a great beauty when she was young. However, she was ill in her forties, and after her recovery, she gained some weight. Although this made her look more wealthy, she was not as confident in her clothing choices as before.
She often chose loose, elaborate dresses to cover her figure.
Today’s dress was obviously different from her previous style: a dark green knee-length dress with a silky texture, a black belt at the waist, making her look spirited and youthful.
Mason’s mother was obviously delighted with the dress, her face full of joy.
“It’s beautiful, Mason sincerely praised, “It looks almost like the dress from your wedding photos.”
She knew her son was just saying nice things to her, but she was still happy and shouted at her husband not far away, “Did you hear that? Your son has a better taste than you”
He simply turned away, not participating in the discussion.
Mason asked. “You used to avoid the clothing counter. What made you try a different style this time?”
“Liam gave it to me Mason’s mother said.
Mason paused for a moment, “Liam gave it to you?”
“Yeah, has mom said excitedly, he said it’s a birthday gift for me. I told him my birthday isn’t for another two months, but he said he came across this skirt while on a business trip and thought it was perfect for me. So, he bought it and asked me to try it on to see if it fits.”
