Winona’s POV
“What do you mean?” I narrowed my eyes, couldn’t understand him.
Without an answer, Benjamin unbuttoned me and opened my collar. Immediately I surrendered to the mate bond and could not maintain my loathing and hatred for him even I didn’t
want to.
As I tried to resist the temptation, my face turned red and I stammered, “B–Benjamin ….”
Although that was not strange because he had not touched me for a long time. The worse part was, I knew that he did not touch me to be intimate with me. This was really breaking my heart. However, that cursed matebond made my body crave
his touch at this time.
Benjamin kept searching for Sebastian’s mark on my body. He even moved his head lower so he could see my neck better.
When his breath touched my ear, it was like a spark of electricity coursing my spine. I could not move my eyes from his lips as they moved closer.
Mia roared in my mind, “I want him!”
As I swallowed my saliva, I tried to get closer to him. I was so desperate for his touch that I even tried to raise my hand.

I was stunned, took back my hand and looked away. “Of course no! You know that my body is different from the other werewolves. Maybe it was because I got wounded in the
battle today!”
“I know you have a special physique. However, have you any idea what the other packs think when my Luna got his mark? They would think we are conspiring with him, especially Jacob, who has already suspected you! You should have
cleaned yourself better. Do you understand that this made me look bad?”
The longer he spoke, the more upset and aggressive he become.
“Okay. My bad.” I hang my head. I was deeply hurt and
humiliated by his indifference. Benjamin did not care if I was injured or needed his touch. All he cared about just his Alpha‘ s reputation.
“Now, you are not a Gamma, so stay quietly in your room for a couple of days.” he yanked my collar roughly and growled, “And leave Isabella alone.”
My feet almost dangled above the ground as he yanked me. He was stronger and taller than me so I could only be submissive to him. After all, as my Alpha and my mate, I had to obey him even though I was the strongest she–wolf in the pack.

Benjamin released my collar and left without saying anything else or looking at me. I just grimaced and exhaled shakily. I dragged my legs heavily as I walked slowly toward my room.
I slid down the door after I closed the bedroom door. My legs were like jelly as I pulled them to my chest. Then I wrapped my arms around my body.
“Winona, all of those were not your fault,” I whispered calming myself. I took a deep breath as my mind flew to the woman that often in my dream stoke my hair and pat my back. It was my deceased mother. I really missed her.
I thought, ‘Oh, Moon Goddess. Should I go on?‘
Although I really loved Benjamin more than life itself, I considered giving up my love and the Luna position now.
“Winona ….”
I heard someone called me, then there was a knock on the door. “It’s me, Zoey. Is everything alright?”
Taking a deep breath, I stood up and opened the door. She swept her gaze over my room with distaste as she went in.
“This is definitely not a woman’s room.” she said as pulled me to the couch. “I keep saying to help you clean, but why do you always refuse me? It seems like you don’t need me anymore since you became Luna.”
She sounded upset but before I could explain anything, she went to the bathroom and took the medicine cabinet out.

maid in the pack. I knew her since I was little and considered her as my older sister. She was two years older than me. She stayed by my side during my first period, first shift and also the first person who came to me after Benjamin’s neglect and indifference.
“Well. I was just too occupied.”
When I tried to open my clothes, I grunted and had to grit my teeth because the wounds that got from sprinting through the wood reopened again.
“You are very hurt this time and your wolf could do nothing to make you recover. You’d better take care of yourself and be more careful or I can’t help you next time you get hurt.” Zoey said while cleaning and disinfecting my wound.
After that, she stood up and tidied up the used rags and the first aid medicine. Then, she looked at me.
“Benjamin ordered me to look at Isabella. He was so worried she got hurt but there was not even a scratch on her!” She slammed the medicine cabinet hard, venting her frustration. “Why did you tell anyone or Benjamin that you hurt badly?”
Her angry face was too comical that I almost forgot my sadness. No matter what, I was glad Zoey was at my side.
“Zoey as his Luna I could not show my weakness, even if I told him only.”
“However, he is your mate, isn’t he? He failed his duty to take care of you. He also made Isabella pregnant. If you continue like this, not only you, but also your warriors and maids like me will be treated unfairly.”

I was very thankful to the Moon Goddess for Zoey’s loyalty at any time. I felt my strength renewed because of her.
“There is a strange mark on your neck. That’s not Benjamin’s.” Zoey suddenly frowned. “Strange.”
“Sebastian did it.” As I put my chin on her shoulder, I said, “Maybe he gave me his mark because I am different. It might go away soon. Benjamin ordered me to stay in my room until it has gone.”
Zoey smiled widely. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s party in your room! What do you think about beer and movies?” she asked as she grabbed and shook my shoulder. I loved drinking with her.
“Get me some fries.” I sighed and closed my eyes. Although I never liked fighting or guarding jail cells, I did it to make Benjamin happy. But since he asked me to stay in the room, why not throw everything in the wind and have fun for one night?

sofa to relax. However, when I yawned, someone screamed from outside my window. I also heard a man shouting, “Tell the Alpha, hurry!”

However, Zoey stopped me. “Benjamin had told you to stay. Please. Isabella will know what to do.”
“I have to protect my pack, that’s my duty. I can’t do nothing. Stay here and prepare the beer. I’ll be right back.”
I pushed the door, ignoring the disproval on Zoey’s face.
