The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame
Chapter 121 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
I was void into any emotion, I can’t feel anything. I slowly get off the table and look on her. I was the first one who woke up. I rub my eyes and hold my head, this feels weird.
I can’t tell whether I’m okay or not, I shrugged my shoulder and walk towards her direction.
“It is done?” I asked her. She nodded, “Yes. Look the mark on your neck, it’s gone now.” She answered. I see, I let out a sigh.
“Why is he asleep still?” I asked her again.
“He’s not done yet, he’s still remembering the past. Anyway, that’s a good thing. I wanted to talk to you,” my brow furrowed. Talk to me?
“About what?” She sigh and sign me to follow her. So I did, we get inside into another room.
“I know who you are, Harper.” What did she mean about that? “I mean, about you being a tribrid.” Oh, so she knew.
“You’re not shock?” She continued. I shook my head, “No, witches has sharp senses. They can pin point who belongs and doesn’t belong to them. I have a blood of a witch so you are, I know that the moment I step my feet into the room, I know that you knew.” I explained. She nodded in agreement.
“Yes, and there’s another witch here to beside you and I.” I know who, It’s Keriza. She’s not doing great for hiding it. I know from the first time I saw her, there’s something strange about her.
“You already have an idea don’t yah? “All I do is to nod.
“As what I expected.”
“Yeah. I know that you’re not here to break the bond Don’t yah?” I asked her too. She quickly look at me, shock.
“How did you know?” I smile, “I just know. So what is your hidden agenda?” she took a deep breath and sat down.
“I’m here to help you out. Once the breaking the bond is over, you need to escape.” Why should I escape?
“Why?” she just shook her head and said, “I can’t tell now, but I’ll tell later.” Okay.
“The plan is all yours, you can ask me a help if you wanted to.” I think deeply. Trusting anyone is very risky this time, I glance at her, she looks trustworthy so I’ll gave her a chance.
“Alright, when will you leave?” I asked her.
“Probably tomorrow.” I nodded my head.
“Okay then. I’ll escape tomorrow’s evening. I’ll be needing your help. Go and wait me at the werewolves boarder. Prepare food and water supplies.” She nodded.
“Got it, but how will you escape?” she asked, worriedly. I smirked, “Leave that to me.” I have a perfect plan in my mind. This is the right time for them to know who really I am, and what he just lose. Karma is a bitch.
“let’s go back, maybe he’s awake now.” I told her.
“We should.”
We go back together in the place and we saw that he’s still not yet awake. What’s keeping him so long? Is that hard for him to let go our memories together. Is he the one who wanted to break our connection?
“Any moments by now, he’ll wake up.” She told me as she walk closer into the window. I followed her and look on the scenery in front of us. I just realized it now, we are on the last floor of the palace.
“What will happen if he’ll wake up?” I asked her.
She didn’t look at me, “Nothing. Just like the old days, you’ll treat each other like strangers. No affections involve.” I see, there will be no more affection then. The butterflies in my stomach, those different emotion when I see him, it will be change into nothing.
“Don’t be sad, Harper. Someday you will find your true happiness.” She continued. I couldn’t help but to feel this way. “Right.”
A few minutes later, he finally woke up. And just like what the witch said, we look into each other like strangers. I can’t see my mark on his neck too, I assume his mark on mine were gone.
“My obligation is done here, I’ll take my leave.” Before she left, she gave me a signal. I just nodded secretly. As the door closed, I face him.
“What is your plan now then. King?” I asked him mockingly. He look down on me with disgust in his eyes.
“You don’t have the right to question me, Vampire. You have no place here now.” Wow, I see. I’ll allow you to say that to me now, but not later, once I started my plan.
“Alright then, our connection is over. What will happen next? You’ll kill me?” He laughed sarcastically.
“Kill you? Your death is not enough. Vampires disgust me so much, why all of you just die?” My eyes sharpened.
“Why don’t you just die by yourself, you are disgusting shit that ever live in this world.” I talked back. In just a few seconds I found myself flying in the other corner. Did he just hit me?
My back hit on the way, a blood comes out on my mouth too. That’s pretty harsh, so he can hurt me without hesitation now too?
Impressively. I wanted to hurt him back but this is not the right time. I need to keep my profile low.
He grabbed me on my collar and lifted me up. “If you’ll talk back to me again, that’s not only what you will get.” He warned and let me go. I stumble on the floor, I smirked sarcastically. I look up, “Remember this also, you’re no king to me. You don’t own me.” After saying that, another slap touches my cheeks causing me to lay on the ground.
“Pity yourself, you’re no match to me.” As he said that, he started to move away from me. When the door closed, I slowly stand up with a smirk. I wipe the blood on the corner of my lips and shook my head. He’s still acting like a fool, you’ll regret everything soon, Zachary.
The warriors take me back on the dungeon again. I sat down on the bed thinking what will happen next.
“Harper? Harper? Are you alright? I heard about the breaking of the bond,” I took a deep breath and open the link between me and Amanda.
“Yes I’m fine, you don’t need to worry.” I answered. “But I’m still worried.” I know she is.
“Stress is not good for your health, so don’t be. I’m okay, still alive.” I heard her sigh.
“Alright then. So what is your plan now?” Is she seriously asking me that. She’s the day she betrayed me, I don’t know if I still can trust her.
“Oh sorry I shouldn’t ask you that.” She continued when she realized it.
“It’s okay. I can’t tell you what’s going on inside my mind but I know you’ll know later.” I know that nodding right now.
“Okay then, I’m glad that you’re fine. Anyway, I have some news.” She said.
‘Okay, continue.’ Another information.
‘When I was roaming inside the forest this morning I saw some vampires.’ My brow furrowed.
‘What happened next?’
“They talk to me, at first I thought they will going to hurt me because you know werewolf is pain in their ass, specially Alpha King. But no, I think they knew me because you know me. One of the men asked me If I know where are you,’ They were here now then. They shouldn’t come here, I just told them to prepare for war not to save me.
Oh, maybe Troy is just worried, I’m still his sister after all.
“I can’t tell where are you because I can’t risk everyone’s safety inside the kingdom.’ I understand her and she did the right thing on that.
“They let me go and leave.” I see.
“Okay, thanks Amanda. Have a rest now, it’s too late.” I told her and cut the link. I lay down on the bed and close my eyes.
Just a few hours by now, I’ll leave this place by hook or crook. I slept for more than twelve hours. When I woke up, I found myself not in the bed but being tied up both of my hand and feet. What’s happening?
My eyes were still adjusting on the light because it’s too bright here. “Wake up now, sleeping beauty.” I heard someone devilishly said.
I saw Keriza grinning widely in front of my while playing a knife on her hand. “You slept much, you need to get yourself awake because you’ll suffer tonight.” What kind of joke is this? My brow furrowed.
She walk closer and pointed the knife on my face as her grin grow even more.
“You can ask me to have mercy on you, beg to survive Harper.” She said mockingly. I stared at her coldly. If she thinks I’ll get intimidated by her then she’s wrong. She’s nothing to me.
“What makes you think I’ll beg to you?” I asked with a smirk. That caught her off guard.
“Vampires, all of you is too full of their selves.” My brow lifted up in amusement. She’s funny.
“Triggered already?” She laughed sarcastically.
“By you? Come on, don’t joke around. Why would I be triggered by you?” I shrugged my shoulder.
“Who knows.” She glared at me. See, I’m making her angry.
“Just wait until he’s here, I can’t wait to torture you until you talk.” Yeah whatever. They were making me a favor again. She grinned and move away from me. A few minutes later, the door opened. There he is, with bored expression in his face.
“You may start now.” Keriza cheerfully stand up and walk towards my direction.
“What are the vampire planning against us?” Wow, do she think I’ll answer that dumb question of her? They won’t get any information about the vampires on me.
“Remaining silent? That’s not a good idea, Harper.” She move closer the knife on my neck. I can feel the sharpness, one move she can hurt me. But no, I just grin. Triggering her anger. And it’s effective, she gave me a hard slap.
I laugh sarcastically, “What is this? Torturing me? Haha, how childish of yours?” I’m referring to him. He just raised an eyebrow.
I shook my head, “Keriza. Do you love him?” I asked. She was caught of guard but then later she smirked widely.
“Of course, and he love me too.” Pathetic.
“I pity you, a man like him don’t do love. But I don’t care, I’m done with him.” I’m just looking at him while saying those things.
“Who cares on what you were saying?” no one, but I wanted to say that.
“Your majesty, we have a problem. We wanted to you see it,” one warrior barged inside the torture room.
He look at him and sigh, “Alright. I’ll go. Keriza, take in charge here.” He commanded and leave silently with the warrior.
I saw disappointed in her eyes, but couldn’t help anything but to agree. She’s really pathetic.
She glared at me, “why don’t he just chose to kill you. You’re useless anyway.” How sure is she? I smirked amusingly.
“Do you want to know something about me?” I said meaningfully. Her brow furrowed.
“Seems like everyone of you really underestimating me.” I slowly melt the metallic handcuffs. She was shock on what she saw and took a step back.
I let my power flow into my body as my appearance change into it’s normal state. I don’t look like a vampire, nor a werewolf not even a witch. I look like who really I am, a tribrid.
“This is impossible, how…” I smirked even more.
“It’s is possible, Keriza. The proof is me.” I said that, I launched an attack. She did her best to dodge my punch but still landed on her face. I’ve been waiting for so long to do that to her. She screamed in pain, attracting everyone’s attention but I know, this room is silent proof. What you hear inside, stays inside.
I grabbed her hair, “Ask any help later.” After that, I throw her on the way and followed her with a kick. She groan pain, she’s coughing with blood.
I feel alive, I wanted to kill her now but I feel a lot of warriors coming in this place. I need to escape now.
“Call yourself lucky now, Keriza. But we’re not done yet.” As I said that, I run towards the door using my vampire speed.
Anyone who will get into my way will get hurt or die, that’s a promise.
Starte yet.” As I said that, I run towards the door using my vampire speed.
Anyone who will get into my way will get hurt or die, that’s a promise.
