The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame
Chapter 102 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
“Are you serious? You will live here with me?” Samantha asked me with disbelief in her voice. It looks like she don’t expect me to say that. Am I too, I’m quite shock of that sudden decision of mine.
Last night, the Vampire king talked to me. For my safety and more information, I asked him if I can stay here, not literally will stay forever but whenever I wanted. He surprisingly agreed, which is good actually.
The Vampire king is not damn serious as might he look, he’s not a vicious man too who will use me against my mate.
“Yeah.” I confirmed. She smiled widely, her eyes were shining in joy. She looked very glad on what I’ve been said.
“That’s really great, it will never be boring to stay here now.” Yeah, probably.
“But I won’t stay here always. I will still go back in the village,” She nodded in understanding.
“I see, that’s just fine. You will still stay here, anyway, where will be your room?” She asked me. Hmm, about that. I still haven’t made my mind, the king told me that I can stay on the west wing wherein the prince and Samantha staying or close to Uriel’s room wherein located on the east wing, closer to the Vampire king’s room.
Maybe, near on Uriel’s room? I really like that kid. His sassiness and wittiness.
“I still don’t know yet,” I answered.
“Oh I see. Undecided? What does the king said?” I told her what I thought earlier.
“Ah, maybe you will just going to stay on the room next to Uriel, that devil kid will love it. Last night, he almost don’t want to let you go.” She told me with smile in her lips as she reminisced what happened last night.
She was right, I nodded my head. Alright then, next to Uriel’s room.
“I will just go and find someone who can assist me then, III see you later.” I told her. She nodded and smile.
“Yeah, see yah.” I nodded once again as I stood up from the couch and started to move away from the place.
In the hallway, I saw a familiar face, oh is this Mrs. Westfield? Yeah, she is. I stopped walking and smile at her.
“Mrs. Westfield” I called for her attention. She stopped walking too and quickly look at my direction. Oh, she didn’t noticed me a while ago. Her face lit up when she recognized me, “Miss Larkspur.” She acknowledge my presence. I walked closer to her direction.
“I told you, It’s just Harper, Mrs. Westfield.” She nods and smile widely, “Sure, Harper, But just call me Aldine.” I nodded my head as well.
“Got it, anyway, I need your help if your not busy.” I told her directly. She looked at me curiously, “Sure, state it.”
“Can you show me some available room near the King’s son, I will stay here not for good but every time I wanted.” She look slightly shock but smile when she remember something.
“Ohm, so it was you who’s the king referring to who will stay here. Yeah sure, please follow me. I really thought you will choose to stay on the west wing,” That’s my first choice but I would like to stay near the little prince too.
Uriel is somehow taking away the sadness and longlines in my heart. He’s making my mood bright whenever I’m thinking what I have just done into my life. He’s such a little distraction now, but in good way.
“Uriel grow a fond towards me, he’ll be mad surely if he will know that I’m going to stay here without staying close to him.” I said honestly. She look at me then nodded her head.
“I saw that last night, I can say the he like you. You’re the second person he ever talk like that, well except to the king and queen.” She said. Oh, really? “Who’s the first one?” I asked in curiosity.
“His uncle Troy, they were really close.” I see, I observed that one too. “No wonder,” I replied as I chuckled. “Yes, anyway, here we are. That blue door over there, that was his young master’s room, and this will be your room.” She said as she opened the door using the a key.
“Please follow me.” She continued. I nodded and followed her inside. This room is wide and big, not as wide as our room in the werewolf palace but almost. It has a nice design too, very dark but I like it.
“This room is quite a nice a place,” I commented as I look around.
“Yes, indeed.” Aldine agreed.
I walked closer the bed and t*ouched the dark blue bed sheet. It’s very smooth and comfortable. I sat down at the edge of the bed and I glanced at her.
“Allow yourself to be comfortable, if you need something, just ring that bell above the table,” She pointed the table behind me, I looked over it. I saw a gold bell next to the lampshades, this is pretty cool.
“Thank you for assisting me here, Aldine.” I thanked her with a smile. She nodded her head, “My pleasure to help you, Harper. Anyway, I have to go now.” I nodded once again.
“Sure, thank you again.” She bowed her head and smile before starting to leave. As the door closed, a sigh escaped from my lips and lay down on the bed.
This situation is making me crazy, damn this life. I whispered as I stared at the ceiling of the room. I let out another sigh, I closed my eyes and breath in. This will be over someday, I believe everything will be alright in the right time. But as for now, I’ll bear with this kind of life.
Complicated and chaotic. I opened my eyes when the door suddenly opened. I sat down on the bed and see who barged in without knocking. My sour face quickly change into smiley when I saw Uriel with his uncle Troy and Samantha.
“Harper!” He called my name very energetically. This kid probably learnt to know that I’m going to stay here, cool. I waited for him to reach my place, he quickly sat beside me and gave me a tight hug.
“Miss me Kiddo?” I asked with a smirk. He grinned back and loosen up his embrace.
“Nah, in your dream.” Haha, this little devil.
“Alright, I don’t miss you too.” I joked causing him to giggle.
“That’s no fun, Harper.” At his age, he’s surely talking like an old man haha. Cute.
“Who cares if it is not fun?” I joked again. He pouted while looking at me, “No one, but I do care about you.” Aw, that’s so sweet of him. I kind of suddenly miss Matthew, that kiddo, how is he now too?
“You cared about me but don’t miss me?” He nodded his head and laugh. “Yes, because we just see each other last night.”
“Right.” I answered and giggled.
“Anyway, do you need something now?” I continued. He nodded his head repeatedly, “Yeah, Uncle Troy, Aunt Samantha will go in the City today, I’m going too, can you go with us please?” He pleaded with puppy eyes, damn do cute.
I looked on Samantha and Troy who’s looking at me too, probably waiting for my response. I gazed back on him and nodded.
“Sure, I’ll go with the three of you. But as the moment, let me take a bath first.” I decided. Staying here is kind of boring. Uriel exclaimed “YES!” happily.
