The Substitute Wife My Poor Husband is a Billionaire
Chapter 735 The Quarrel In The Corridor
Elizabeth’s expression darkened. “Ever since Dalores joined W Marks, she has always hired acquaintances to work as interns here. But Draco never cared about these things. He only looked at their works. Fortunately, all the people that Dalores had hired before weren’t that bad. It seems that she made a mistake this time.”
Elizabeth found this behavior extremely unethical, so she was never fond of Dalores. W Marks was supposed to be a prestigious place for professional designers, but it was polluted by people like Dalores.
Janet took a deep breath and sighed. “Well, at least now I finally understand why you were so cold to her.”
Elizabeth shrugged. “I didn’t want to say anything bad about her since it’s all in the past. But now it seems she’s actually exposing her true colors by herself.”
After teaching Tasha the ropes of the studio, Janet was about to take her to her workstation.
Just then, she suddenly heard a commotion outside the design department.
“What’s going on?” Tasha also heard the noise. “It sounds like someone’s quarreling outside.”
“I’ll go out and check.” Janet was very confused, so she decided to investigate.
When she took a peek at the corridor outside the design department, she saw that it was Dalores and her applicant friend who were quarreling.
“Shh! The acoustics here are terrible. Everyone inside will hear you. Do you want me to lose my job?” Dalores was trying to calm her angry friend down.
“Dalores, are you f*uc*king with me right now? I’ve given you countless things, and what do I get in return? Nothing! You’ve used that f*uc*king expensive bag I’ve bought you yet you’ve done nothing for me!” the guy shouted restlessly.
Then, he suddenly grabbed Dalores’s bag and threw it to the ground in a fit of rage.
“I gave this bag to you. Now I want it back!”
Dalores was frightened, so she looked around to make sure nobody had heard him.
She didn’t want to make a scene, so she picked the bag up, took out all her things inside, and threw the bag back at him. “Fine! Take it! It’s just a bag. Take it and get out of here right this instant! And don’t come back!”
Dalores was so angry that her face turned red. What worried her the most was the possibility that this matter would be known to all. Then her reputation would be ruined!
The man caught the bag and dusted it off before cursing, “b*tch, you’ve already used it! How much am I supposed to get out of a second-hand bag? If I had known that you were so useless, I wouldn’t have asked you for help!”
The man kept raising his voice, which made Dalores feel very embarra*s*sed. Dalores wished she could hide in a hole in the ground.
She turned around angrily and was about to go back to her station when she happened to see that Janet was staring at her.
Janet’s gaze made her even angrier. She lost her temper and stomped towards Janet, roaring, “b*tch, what did you do to seduce Draco? How come he listened to you and not me?”
“I didn’t do anything. You’re the one who made promises you can’t keep. That’s not my fault.”
Dalores grunted indignantly. She didn’t believe a word this b*tch said. She leaned closer to Janet and warned her in a low voice, “Remember, this isn’t over.”
After saying that, Dalores went back to her station as though nothing had happened.
This little b*tch was definitely something. She had already won over such a powerful man like Draco.
The more Dalores thought about it, the more disgusted she felt with Janet. It was obvious that Janet also wanted to hire acquaintance, just like what Dalores did. But Janet pretended to be innocent and get away with it, leaving Dalores to take the blame.
Dalores made up her mind at that moment that she would stop at nothing to get both Janet and Tasha kicked out of W Marks.
